Not an advertising street sign to be seen anywhere , not even the driveway to the show or the corner to turn to get to the show. Pretty good turnout but with advertising could have been great
All of the above are true about almost any gun show – including Wannamaker. The most important point is that for locals, it’s not 6 hours away. Even Springfield borders on an overnight, Nixa is no better for travel, Branson is definitely two days, etc. Fayetteville is almost closer.
I agree cheaper tables would be nice for the private sellers however those are now few and far between compared to post Vietnam. The number of men who have served has declined 90% since those years, the all Volunteer force has definitely trimmed who wants to go to serve, whereas the draft raked them in wholesale.
There has been a huge amount of consolidation in the firearms industry, and along with that, ebay has sniped a significant share of goods that might have shown up at a sale in the 80s, but now? Its easier to retail them on forums and auction sites, if not your own flea market booth – I’ve done all that in the last ten years. I first attended Tulsa gun shows in the 1980s, those days of full auto flat kits and “adventure” recruiters are long gone.
Shows are a great piece of Americana, we can sell firearms this way, and their are bargains – for the astute. We can’t expect Kygunco discounts at every table, there is no free lunch.
Generally, I’ve found R.K. Shows in Springfield to be much better. More dealers, more competitive pricing, I suppose.
Always a good show & we go whenever it is in town.
Will not be going to another R K. Show thinks he can charge Tulsa price for a Elks Lodge show Sorry the Elks have a better showing
Total waste of ten dollars. I got there early and there was not a deal of any kind to be found. I’m not being bitter just stating a fact, metal AR-15 magazines I buy locally used for $5 where $12-15 used. Magpul polymer/plastic magazines were a dollar higher than in town everyday.
I saw used S&W SD40VE going for new a price from Atwoods. Ammo was just outright ridiculously priced, federal target .22lr over $30 a box when Walmart just sold me the very same box for under $19 before tax.
Great show. Have sold many guns. Private seller.
The FFL dealers out number the private gun enthusiasts. Too many dealers with none gun products.
this show is fairly good i go every time it comes round and buy sell trade usually good selection
this is getting to be more of a flea market then gun show
