How do I “Verify!” my gun show?
Every week we send out emails to all the promoters on our site. This usually happens the Monday before each show. In the email we ask that promoters reply back to us to “Verify” their gun show. There are 3 ways to verify a listing:
- Email us back once you receive an email.
- Have a regularly updated website that we can verify all the information on.
- Email us ahead of time to verify the information is correct.
What does “Not Verified” mean?
First and foremost this does not necessarily mean that a gun show has been canceled. It simply means that when the Gun Show Trader staff was not able to verify the information with the promoter. Every week our staff attempts to verify all listing. This occurs by either emailing the show promoters directly or checking their websites for the most updated information.
How do I add my gun show to the GunShowTrader?
Easy, fill out the Gun Show Submission Form! Once submitted it’ll be e-mailed to the GunShowTrader and added to our listings, usually within 48 hours.
How can I make my gun show stand out?
All you have to do is follow the instructions to become a “Featured Gun Show”. This is absolutely FREE! The process takes less than 5 minutes.
How do I make a correction to an existing gun show?
All you have to do is fill out the Edit Gun Show Form. Be sure to fill out the information you need corrected (and the required information). Once completed an e-mail will be sent to the GunShowTrader. Once updated the GunShowTrader staff will e-mail you back with a notice of the correction.
It’s easy to edit your gun show on the Gun Show Trader. Simply Login to the site. Once logged in a Edit Gun Show button will appear.
Why do you require so much to add a gun show?
It benefits everyone! The more information a promoter provides for their gun show the more likely people are to attend it. Also vendors tend to use our site as well in order to find gun shows to participate in.
Why does it take 48 hours to add a gun show?
In most cases it doesn’t. A gun show is usually added/updated within 12 hours. With that being said, special cases including weekends, holidays, traveling to gun shows, etc… the GunShowTrader may take a little longer to update.
Why do you require my name and e-mail to contact you?
A couple of reasons actually. The GunShowTrader validates the corrections and updates submitted for a gun show. Most-of-all, we just want to help you the best we can. The best way to do that is to get to know our users.
Why should I have to “Confirm All Gun Shows”?
The GunShowTrader is updated daily and strives to be the more accurate/up-to-date gun show listing you will ever use. However, there are times when a gun show has been cancelled, rescheduled or moved to another location with out notification being sent to the GunShowTrader.
Why isn’t the admission price listed for the gun show?
The GunShowTrader wants to list as much information as possible. The more information we have, the better informed gun show enthusiasts are. Unfortunately not all gun show promoters wish to advertise their admission price.
How do I become a vendor at your show?
The GunShowTrader actually doesn’t host any gun shows. We simply list the information for gun show attendees to find. All contact information is provided on each gun show.
What does “Unscheduled Gun Show” mean?
It simply means that the gun show was once listed on the GunShowTrader. Either the show has not been scheduled or the show has been indefinitely cancelled. These still appear on the GunShowTrader to help promoters easily update their shows. They are also useful to vendors and attendees to find previous shows they have attended.
Do you keep a “Past” Gun Show Archive?
The simple answer is: “No.” The GunShowTrader is a large website spanning 10’s of thousands of pages. That is can a huge strain on the server. To help combat this, each time a gun show is “updated” it automatically deletes old dates for shows. So it is possible to see “past dates” for shows. However we do no keep an archive of them.
