It’s strange how people give the Gun Show 1* because the vendors are supposedly overpriced. The Gun Show doesn’t control the vendor pricing. And they only kind of control the variety to the extent they might control the types of vendors there. I think you’d have to give ALL gun shows 1* then because it’s really mostly the same vendors traveling to most of these shows. Now, if the parking sucked or the staff was rude or whatever, then that’s the show’s fault. We’re actually trying to get a table there but sometimes it’s a wait to get on the vendor list. Some vendors have 20-30 tables there (at $80/table). Realize that the vendor has to make enough to cover the table rent AND pay the employees AND make a profit. And paying the employees means loading up your stuff, setting up, breaking down, going home, unloading, restocking the store shelves… This isn’t some old lady selling off her dead husbands collection for pennies on the dollar. Having said that, I’ve seen other vendors selling stuff well above our in-store pricing and wondering why people would pay to get in a show to then pay a premium, AND THEN pay a credit card upcharge on top of it and waiting to go to that show once every 3 months when we are open every day of every week with better prices. In fact, there is a guy who will come in and clean us out of 22WMR for $16/box and sell it at the shows for $23. Anybody could have come in and bought it here for that. So we should kill it at the shows since we can sell at our every day low prices. But don’t hate on the show itself just because several of the vendors have high prices. Also, some might set them high thinking they’re going to be negotiated down (like a flea market) so they set them artificially high. Just guessing. At least it’s nice seeing a lot of like minded gun enthusiasts getting together…a nice respite from the left-wing lunatics.

So the show has a huge variety of weapons and yes staff and vendors are friendly, and all in all a good atmosphere…..But……….I remember going to gun shows as a kid with my dad and he ACTUALLY getting a deal on the guns, THATS THE WHOLE POINT of a gun show. I can go to academy and get the same price if not better than this gun shows vendors ridiculous prices and I have tested this the last 3 times they have came. I waste my time looking for that white elephant I can find at any gander mountain. I only go now to kill time and to get Don’s smokehouse jerky….good stuff….the only deal in the place.

This is my 5th year!!! Always get the 2 day pass. So many selections and options. I spend one day gun hunting and the next for accessories. The table men/women are very nice and informative. Food is pretty good too. It’s pizza and hotdogs etc… Would definitely recommend to gun lovers
