I have been going to gun shows for 48 years and this was a first for me, here is what happened…I paid my $8.00 for admission.. there were two police officers checking in firearms at the gate, my handguns were being inspected and tied…as this process was taking place me and my $4,700 Custom Wilson Combat .45 Auto and a S&W .38 revolver were hit with a blast of water! I was thinking “What the F**K” where did that come from!
The two police officers at the gate had a fan setup with a water misting device to keep them cool.. it was July 12th 2025 and a very hot day with a nice breeze…OK were all hot..but “Who in the Hell though this was a good idea”? Water and guns don’t mix.. I take extreme care of my firearms and if I what to give them a shower it will be with gun oil not water! Come on guys the fans are ok but get rid of the water…
I arrived at the gun show at 1:30pm, small crowd not like the old days..I talked with a vendor and he said that is was much busier in the morning…I noticed the prices on guns to be very high when I was asked what I wanted for my guns the vendors just rolled their eyes and said that’s to much money…I was asking a very reasonable price on both of my handguns…but let the “low ball offers begin” I get it we all like to haggle…my guns are junk your guns are gold!
Overall I still love the gun shows but man oh man they are not what they used to be…I could go on but I’ve said enough.
(PS) I rate this gun show at 3 stars only not 5
RJS “Custodian of The Gun Keeper of the Randall”
Yesterday’s show had a different tone. Some collectors & vendors are still trying for good investments. The market is down: MANY tables were let to FLEA-MARKET type vendors!!! Maybe Saturday was better. Three Stars ***
Some tables, if given the chance, will share the accrued knowledge of their
lifetime passion. If one is willing to learn one can truly appreciate this sort
of ongoing education.
I like this show a lot.
A good show to BUY a gun at, but not good place to SELL one, even at a fair price.
I think it’s proximity to Cleveland attracts a lot of lower income attendees. I’m not being mean, just honest.
LOTS of ammo, accessories, and war relics.
how does people with lower income have anything to do with the show if you dont like that dont go🤷♂️
People can have too high of expectations. The Berea show is better than most regional shows, but can still be a waste of time (if you are trying to sell in the aisleway). Josh should have said “if you don’t like lowballing, then don’t go”.
Very well said! My thoughts exactly 💯!!!
You completely missed his point.
Attended this past Sunday and was impressed. There was a large variety of all types of firearms (new and old). The vendors were actively buying and selling. Real good crowd on this Sunday until about 2:00 PM.
Probably THE BEST gun show around. There’s hard-2-find accessories and whatnot every time we go. There’s even hunting apparel!
I drive from Lake County for this show. Lots of hard to find ammunition, great place to stock up on stuff that the regular stores don’t have or won’t sell more than one. Good food, multiple heated buildings great way to spend the afternoon with friends
Great shows, always something for everyone. Show managers need to keep the vendors from closing up early. There’s still money to be spent by attendees.
I am not the only potential buyer that
Passes by a table because no prices are
Listed. While it is always fun to horsetrade,
There needs to be a starting point.
This show attracts good people on both sides
of the table.
After a show I treat myself to a fine meal at
the Depot. And I let management know that
the gun show brought me into their community.
Went on a Sunday, got there at 1pm, had to pay the full $7 to get in. Supposed to be open till 3pm. Some vendors already closing up at 1:30pm. By 2pm 50 % of the vendors starting to close up. By 2:30pm over 75% of the vendors closed up.
Promoter states no early close ups to his vendors but does not enforce it.
Just FYI
Wow, that’s terrible to hear that vendors close too early. I understand that maybe they might have to travel far but they decided to come there. What a shame.
My greatest disappointment too. If you can’t get there by 11:00am on Sunday, its not worth the trip. Otherwise a great show.
Great place kind people, great buying and selling.
This show has almost everything you could ever want fo hunting and the shooting sports! It is huge!!!
It is by far the largest, most relevant show in this area. I am in the Akron area and purchase all of my firearm needs at gun shows. By the way, the “gunshow loophole” is a lie, I have never purchased a firearm without a former background check! What a bunch of B.S. to panic the general public. I consider myself a law-abiding person and I will own a firearm as long as criminals will have them and the ability to harm my loved ones! Always! They will always have firearms and I will not be left defenseless!
I have hunted my entire life both archery and gun. I will continue to do so!
I just purchased a gun at the last show and so did my buddy no background check .Did not even have to show ID.
Some sellers are way too casual and don’t even protect themselves. Informal sales have always been legal in Ohio. That has been the case for the past two centuries of Ohio statehood. It was the case when this was the Northwest Territory also. It is because of criminals that honest citizens have lost their rights in many states.
Great show always
Huge show, heated buildings. Best food stand! Best of the best!
By far the biggest and best gun show in Northern Ohio
Love them all when is the next gun show in Cleveland Ohio or Euclid Ohio
