********** 1 star********I have been going to this gunshow for about 30 years now, since i was 18. I have watched it deteriorate over the years. Use to, there was a very large selection of old/new, and then some random stuff like knives and gear. now, it is the same booth over and over. evidently the only guns in the world are the cheap ar-15’s, glocks and m&p’s . every now and then someone will have some older or vintage firearms but for the msot part, you go from one booth to the next you see the same thing. Cost to get in over the years has increased and has always been cash only. Now, once in, if you do find something that is of interest, now check the price. In the modern era of the internet, you can get almost everything that is at this show for 25% cheaper AFTER shipping and transfer fee. My last show, the cheapest popular used plastic guns, 2 manufacturers, were starting at 600. ammo was ridiculously high, I had a dealer attempt to sell me a glock 19 gen 5for 750$ and an mp 9mm duty for 700$in 2025. occasionally you will have to old guy selling some older winchester and remington rifles for a decent price but its rare and uncommon anymore. there really is no oversight on the dealers and they base their prices off the convenience of them having them in person right now. the pricing is just bad. The overwhelming number of budget and cheap below budget entry level ar’s is also very bad. if they want to improve, do away with every single booth selling ar-15’s. honestly the best shows were during the brady bill ban. at least there was variety and not an overabundance of the exact same 3 types of guns. this show is honestly not worth going to,.

After reading the only two reviews and no response from the promoters that there would be any improvements. I decided it would be a waste of time to drive to Winston for the show. I thank the reviewers for posting their experience!
$12.00 is too much, $10.00 is too much, but seems to be the norm, almost boycotting WS show because of it, lower the entry fee please
Thank you for sharing your experience! I think I’ll decide not to go.

Most C&E shows are a great experience. But this one takes the cake. No clear indication (nor signs for show) or which parking lot to park, despite having multiple buildings to choose from highway. Ended up pulling into completely different building, that also happened to be place of gathering with parents dropping off children to play sports. When walking from parking lot that thought was for show. Walked around entirely different building and through a courtyard to finally see what looked like people from show standing at door. Greeted by impolite door guard, letting people through door that was apparently only exit (still no signs for a show). Rudely pointed to actually entrance, walked completely around this building as well to finally find the ticket booth (still no indication of a gun show). The ticket booth people were much friendlier, so I didn’t complain. As I walked into the building, again rudely stopped by elderly man sitting on stool apparently collecting tickets, that I literally walked clear past (not in the most visible place to begin with) before being informed to hand him my tickets then he rudely laughed. This was no laughing matter to me as I had already been rudely greeted by the door guard at the exit before even entering. I then found myself not even wanting to browse the show, though I paid for a ticket. Found the same vendors from other shows, as usual selling accessories and unrelated merchanise. Could not find anything of interest after less than 10 min, so decided to leave. Thankfully, as I headed to exit, a random attendee (not a vendor) walked in with a custom shotgun, that was instantly purchased upon asking if was for sale. I was now in need of a soft case (an accessory). Asking one vendor who was very kind, with no avail. Next vendor I asked, had a very impolite answer, and was more concerned about judging the firearm just purchased than helping me. I then left (with no soft case) through the exit with rude door guard, as this was closer to where parked. Had to then walk back to the other building where their were parents and children (shotgun on shoulder). Not the best place to be carrying a shotgun with no clear indications of a gun show next door. C&E, I do not completely believe to be at fault here. As I do plan on intending all future shows, other than this specific location.
Pretty much my experience also. Problem is, all gun shows in Winston-salem and Greensboro are lame. I was used to Richmond, Virgina shows that where large and full of guns, knives, and even home made beef jerky.
Never been to the Winston gun show I appreciate you sharing your experience. So I didn’t waste my time found it hard to believe the promoters did not respond to your review. Thank you again for sharing.
I went to this show several years ago and here are exactly the same issues as back then. I have a difficult time walking so I am probably going to pass on this show location. At least in Greensboro I know where to park.
