I had not been to a gun show in several years, but I went to the Salem gun show this weekend. I must say that I did have some sticker shock but I surely enjoyed every minute I was there. I saw a lot of guns and a lot of friendly people. I want to thank the civic center for this opportunity to see a show I enjoy. I always think if you don’t like my money, I will spend it some place else.
Went to the Salem Va. show in March.. It was an improvement over the last but quite candidly with covid being over and the Berglund Center shows in Roanoke being over and done I really was hoping for a better show. The show is a ghost of what it once was.. Very sad.. Its the only show Steve the promoter still does in Va and quite candidly he just needs to sell it to his Ex-wife Annette so she can turn it around and make it a good show like the Roanoke ones were. Definitely not interested in attending another C&E show here in Salem and will skip the July show as I know its going to suck..
salem gun show used to be great, figuring that the gun show at berglund center is permanently closed due to roanoke city buying berglund and there standing on guns, and covid i figured the salem gun show would be packed with vendors itchy to make some money and customers ready to buy, well there was none of that maybe 20-25 tables and 7 of those were old timers not wanting to sell but just to bullshit with each other 7 more tables of jewelry 4 tables of ammo maybe and maybe 3 actually gun dealer selling guns at a ridiculously high price, get it together please
The Salem Gun show is a pathetic shadow of itself.. The promoter has run it down over the last decade and has done nothing to improve it. The loss of the Roanoke show should have had a positive effect and yet the Salem Gun Show still can’t its act together. The promoter cares more about his out of state shows and physically hasn’t been at what used to be his first show in over 2 decades.. As a long time seller(over 20 years) and an attendee I hope someone else purchases this show from him and turns it around, it used to be the best show in the area and now is just a sad joke…
Heard on radio that it was the biggest gun show this year, the vendors didn’t need the back room this time.need to tell the public how many vendors are coming if there going to charge $8 dollars and very little to see.
I went therr last time and loved it ,will go this time again.
Always an excellent show and always some bargains if you look hard enough or parts, supplies, ammo and reloading equipment. Never miss it unless it is during the deer season.
We love the Salem gun shows. Lots of vendors and great prices!!
We always go to the gun shows here in Salem VA. Really good selection of ammo and guns.
