Why are people talking about Allentown show? The Bloomsburg show is good. A lot of vendors a lot of items prices are what you would expect at a gun show.
I drove an hour to get here – already knew what I wanted to get. They said they were open until 5 on both the website and on the phone message. I got here at 4 and the sign said they were only open until 4 and everyone was leaving as I got here. So it might be a nice place if they updated their shit and didn’t lie to the public. I will never know as I’m not planning on returning.
The Allentown Show was a bit sparse last weekend because of competition from the huge Oaks gun show (also by Eagle Arms). The Allentown Show emphasizes antique and classic firearms and ammunition, although modern firearms are sold as well. Always lots of interesting and rare guns on display. There are, disturbingly for me, lots of Nazi collectors at that show. Some are simply collectors but others are unsavory types who glorify that evil time and its artifacts. This show, like most of the Eagle Arms shows is more concerned with modern firearms, yet there are some tables run by and for collectors of antique guns. Most Eagle Arms shows are well stocked and attended and worth a visit.
I went to the Allentown show also. This was my 4th time there. Good show, lots of stuff.
