I arrived from Tx in Oct and got to see the show. In San Antonio I had a show every month. I liked the Rocky Mountain show and am looking forward to July. As it was my first here I just wanted to look. Oooops, mistake given the virus cancelled the later show. There were some great deals on ammo. So I’ll be looking again with purchasing in mind this time around. Food seemed a bit pricey. Thankyou.
July 2019. This was a good show. Lots of vendors. Lots of buyers. Lots of selection. Prices were more reasonable then past years.
I enjoy this event. I would tell people to go. It was fun for my family. Lots of nice people.
I am a vendor. I have been at all three of these shows in 2016 and they were fabulous. Lots of people and lots of vendors. Seemed like every hour they were giving away a gun, or a case of ammunition, or optics, or something. A very professional show. I desire that the other promoters would follow their example. The guy next to me had three tables and he sold out of handguns on Saturday, only had long guns for Sunday. It was an incredible show for me, and FWIW, I drove 500 miles to get there. I also brought a couple of other vendors from Colorado and Idaho with me and they told me they will be back. Keep up the great work, RMGS.
Did this show ONCE and will never be back. I was specific in where I’d have like to be and all I got (realizing now) were evasive answers. I’m a SMALL vendor local to Albuquerque and when I noticed the price increase from the first show decided I did not need to be paying the majority of my sales to the promoter. Adding insult to injury they have a total ripoff CHARGE for electricity—-who in hell could possibly use anywhere near 85.00 and UP worth of electricity, which unless I’m terribly wrong, is NOT charged to them by the fairgrounds. Yeah, they had several new vendors there but if you knew your prices—and you should–you can get the same stuff locally and support a LOCAL company for the same or lower cost.
i agree with local before others. i am from here my family been here 1893. more venders the better price for the buyers. no show then no vender likes to be polite hell just rude.
Guy this ain’t no silver spur show this is the best show that comes to New Mexico I have no problem paying 10 for tickets they bring so many vendors and it’s a great show I can’t wait maybe in time they will drop price on entry it’s a great show all and all
A while back we moved here from Utah where this promoter also does shows.
Those were good…quality vendors…but some guy – I don’t know who – could not leave the microphone alone. I mean every 12 minutes – just about the time you’d start talking to a vendor you’d hear this – tap tap tap – Hey Folks!….and off he’d go.
If it’s the same here I wouldn’t go.
Totally unnecessary – Drove me crazy – I paid to see the vendors not listen to an overzealous promoter
Huge variety, saw vendors we have never seen at a NM show. Ammo wholesaler brought 1 1/2 semi-loads and had internet prices without the shipping costs. The table arrangement allowed folks to linger at an interesting table without being run over by the crowds. Once we got over the high entry cost, we saw that it was worthwhile. We New Mexicans have to get past the extra money and learn that you get what you pay for. Vendors had to pay more, too, but they got a lot more customers than they do at the old shows. At the old shows we see the same stuff over and over. How often do we see high-end guns and affordable stuff at our shows?
