I am 72 and have had to wait about an hour before getting in. That’s after getting there before it opens around 8:30 am. Seniors and handicap should have a quicker way to enter without standing in line for more than a few minutes or pay ahead to just be able to walk in with proper ID.
Why?
true I can not stand for a long time
I’ve been to the Syracuse Gun Show at the fairgrounds, both spring and fall, for the last several years. There are lots of vendors to shop with a great variety of guns, accessories, ammo, and related products such as knives, books, targets, etc. As far as the guns go, the range of styles, brands, prices and quality is impressive. You can find nearly pristine collector quality guns all the way down to “beater” guns for the truck or restoration. That gun your dad or grandad owned or that gun you always wanted can usually be found there, the variety is that good. There are always deals to be found if you look hard enough, and I usually stay all day and look at nearly EVERY gun there. The first firearm I ever bought at a gun show was here at Syracuse. There is plenty of parking and even a shuttle if you don’t want to walk to and from your vehicle. There is usually a pretty big line to get inside, but once the doors open it moves fairly quickly. The amount of stuff for sale is enough to spend the whole day looking at, unlike a lot of the smaller shows with only a few dozen guns to see. You will find several dealers that are willing to deal and great to do business with. It’s also a good place to get that hard to find ammunition if you have a discontinued or rare caliber gun. I have to drive over an hour to get to Syracuse, but this show has always been worth the trip.
Can I get into the show early and if so how do I go about doing that. Thanks Mike
