Today I amended the gun show at The Miami Airport Convention Center. Although the show is smaller than the one at the fairgrounds (less walking which is great), I liked the friendly vendors; there were more antique guns, knifes and memorabilia. Also, the older vendors have some great stories and they know a lot about history. Free parking is nice and it’s cool that you could attend both days with the same ticket. The benefit of being able to come back for free is that if a vendor does not have something that yo want then they can bring it to you on the next day and you don’t need to pay again. Overall I had a pleasant experience. My dad took the concealed weapons class and he was not happy that he was forced to accept a legal insurance plan. The salesman makes it seem like everyone has to sign up. Peer pressure, bullying. Just so that you know there is no requirement for you to have any insurance plan with your concealed weapons permit. After the class I went with him back to the salesman and he said that the orders were already scanned and they could not be cancelled. We had to call to cancel the monthly plan. Beware, don’t sign up or give your credit card unless you really want it, don’t think you are supposed to for you to get the permit. Other than the shady forced insurance sales done to my elderly father, the show was great for me.
I go fron south to north east to west and I found is a very good for the money yow pay.
No the best but no the worts, I give a 4 start.
I attended this show and found it very unsatisfactory. First, even finding the entrance to the show itself was not easy. Not marked at all.
Second the show is very small compared to other shows in the area.
Third, and most important to me. The lighting where this show is held is horrible. It is a nice place if you were having a party or a get together, but not appropriate for any kind of exhibition/sales event when you want to see “well” what you are looking for.
The price to attend the show is very good, much better than the show at the Fair Grounds, which I consider a ripoff, but they need to improve the conditions of this show.
Hello bernard, the show you attended was in another hall for that specific weekend. The main hall we use for the show is the west hall. Each month its in the west hall with awesome lighting but for the show you attended it was east hall. If it was your first time attending this show you would not have known that of course but it also was listed on this listing for the show date. For future the west hall it is;)
Friendly people , a lot of guns , and you can find ammunition at decent price.
Free parking , and you can go both day with one ticket
There is nothing “Show” about this. It should be called Gun Store. There are no demonstrations, no shows, no factories demo’ing new products, no anything but overpriced stores. Since when do you have to pay to go to a store. I can get much better deals online from the comfort of my living room chair. I can see charging the vendors, or at the very least charge me an entrance and then refund it with any purchase made at the show. I’ll pass. I can go to any store any day for free and see the same or better prices closer to home.
You greedy guys are just pricing yourselves out of existence.
Well, it was show day, and there was definitely a difference in some of the pricing. The security was friendly and done with a wand instead of having to take everything metal off and walk through a detector , smaller vendors, and as a result a few things I haven’t seen at the other show, and surprising prices on some. I wound up spending almost 5 hours there. Multiple vendors got into it over the monopoly going on with SS and I heard quite a few stories. I enjoyed this show, and the parking was free, so the charge issue was taken care of. The sales people were calmer, where at the fairgrounds they’re mostly pushy and all over you, it was a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend
