300 Tables
This is the BEST collection of old and gem firearms in FLORIDA…
If you want to add to your collection, this the place to be !
If your patient enough to see and speak to these experienced vendors, then it is WORTH it !
You want to find a treasure , don’t complain when there are people like you, wanting something SPECIAL, that everyone is trying to please all… Great show for collectors…
Thumbs up
Went yesterday. An excellent show. Picked up one addition to my collection, chatted with the dealers. All in all a great experience. Certainly worth the trip.
Its a great show everyone very friendly . Stop whinning if you can t afford 12 bucks what the heck are doing there . Really. I always have a great time stay over night for both days . And as far as people being rude to disabled people . I have not seen that if so I would say something . You can t blame people giving show . Come on now enjoy the show . Thanks Lakeland gun show .
phillips22250 @yahoo.com best show in florida. if your looking for a certain gun you will find it here. they could work on a few things to make it even better and their doing just that. you want be disappointed. the guy that gave one star is dead wrong.
Narrow aisles are hard to navigate, and if someone stops to look at a gun, everyone in that row has to stop and wait. Bring a flashlight, lots of tables are in the dark. Still, it’s the best show in Florida and I’ll be back.
Most of the big shows up North are $12 now. I’ve been to all of them, and this is the best one in FL. I always find something, but not always at the price I want to pay! Trading works better for me. I sometimes get better deals on the Internet, and Gainesville Pawn only charges $15 per transfer… I’ve been going on Sunday lately, so I can stop at Webster flea market on the way back.
I have attended this show for a number of years because it is the best.
Has as been said the first show was a try out as the previous venue was raising the price on rental and parking. The new venue has improved considerably.
I’ve attended most (all?) of the shows at this new location. The start was a little rocky what with A/C issues and crowding but after the first one or two it seemed to me that all was ok.
I just want to emphasize that if you are a collector, this is simply the best show in Florida. I won’t bore you with fish stories of the great finds I made, I will just point out that it seems that 75-80% (?) of the tables are held by collectors or by dealers with old firearms. Compare to other shows where the percentages are reversed.
The only thing that comes close is the Araba Shrine show in Fr. Meyers. For a tiny show that one is pretty darn good.
Best show in the Tampa Bay area for finding collector firearms. I love this show because i always seem to find a gem to take home.
I attended the most recent LRPC Gun Show the weekend of May 4 & 5, 2019, being held at this new venue for the 3rd time.
The bugs are being worked out. The earlier complaints (from the inaugural show in July ’18), about tight aisles were absolutely correct. In both the Jan ’19 and May ’19 shows a bunch of tables were removed and they widened the aisles .
In Jan ’19 they tried having a second hall, but the second hall was way too poorly lit. Hopefully the Sun-N-Fun venue will come to realize that if they ever plan to rent that 2nd hall again they’ll need to make an investment in lighting and a/c.
This is a collector’s show. Some of the nicest stuff you will see anywhere short of Tulsa or Louisville. Lots of the black guns and modern guns, ammo and supplies as well.
By far the best quality show in the State of Florida.
4 stars only so they keep working to improve.
I went to the second event at the new location at Sun & Fun after hearing good things about the first event.
I liked the new location. My only suggestion is to have indoor or shaded areas for people to get off their feet for a moment.
If you’re new to this promoters show you need to know that is not a typical show with just a bunch of modern black rifles but rather a show for mostly collectors and older guns, not that there isn’t modern guns being sold but it’s a different show. Most probably love it or hate it but I like the change of pace from other shows of this size.
Made the trip this morning from Jacksonville and was impressed with the number of vendors and the items they had, but was highly disappointed in how close the spacing was between the vendors was. You could barely get two rows of people passing down the aisles. If someone stopped to look at a table it backed up the row until they moved on. There were several items I wanted to come home with, but I got frustrated with not being able to move freely enough to inspect without knocking into other people. I also felt bad for a guy with crutches and one on a scooter to get around…they couldn’t travel anywhere very easily. I won’t be back to this one unless they stop trying to cram vendors in and make the shopping experience ridiculous. I been to alot of shows and I can’t give this one a very good rating. $70 in gas and $12 admission were wasted this weekend. Expand to another building and allow better access or move to a larger venue please!
Hi. That was the first time at that venue and was sorta a “try-out”. I know that the powers that be were aware of the crowding. I am heading off there today and was told that they added a bunch of space.
Still the best show in Florida for collectors.
I have to agree with the crowded spacing. I paid the entry fee and couldn’t get my scooter down any row. I left after trying to get down one row, then out the door. There was plenty of room for vendors to spread out.
