it was the worst of all the shows the gun club puts on they only had one room, in past it would take you all day to go in and go through 2 full rooms I walked 2 rows today that only had 1 person set up on that row with only one table this by far was the smallest I have seen and not to mention the prices were out of this world, people had guns that looked like they needed to be burned down for scrap trying to sell for $4000.00 + I seen mousers that they wanted for over $2000.00+ are these people stupid to think they are going to sell and to top it off they did have there fair share of ammo that looked like it had went through the water, I did see a lot of swords this year which a change overall I went through this show today in less than 2 hours and feel cheated I really hope the next one this year in Lakeland is better.

April 7 – terrible – 2nd room closed – a lot of tables in main room also empty – free parking but way less vendors – not worth $15 admission

Best show in Florida, lots of older collectible guns as well as new guns. Don’t know why the previous commentator problems were. I have had tables here for 25+ years. If you want to go to a “black” gun show go elsewhere. Yes they have black guns but the collectibles are what attract me. this is the place for them.
In fact the Lakeland Gun collectors show is the only ones I do anymore (APR, SEPT, JAN) There is very little “non gun stuff” allowed there. The entrance fee is $15 (includes parking. The Club has to pay what the Civic center’s rates are. As many venues are blocked by anti-gun politicians this place is good for gun aficionados. And to boot the food there is not bad at all. The Club has maintained it’s standards consistently. When a major ( SS you know who) wanted to have two complete rows in the main hall he was pissed off when the club said no. They said the show was for the members and they would not displace members and loyal table holders to accommodate this show bully. They attracts very good crowds. I have been there for the September and January show where the gate was over 4,000 on Saturday alone. April draws a little less as many winter “snowbirds” he back north.

Besides being run by the rudest staff in the States this ever diminishing show with its many rules for vendors had lots of empty tables between the vacuum cup salesman and the cup polishing salesman along with old clothes and miscellaneous garage clearing junk.
But they surpassed themselves when a group of disable veterans, clearly identified, were forbidden by “Lakeland Center” from exiting the building at the Hyatt Hotel door where they stayed & were parked because they might damage some 8′ of indoor/outdoor carpet. If you stayed in the Hotel you could enter and set up in the show but you couldn’t leave. Most of the old men, including a guy on oxygen had to have someone carry his wares over the carpet to the door for him. After many years at this declining show we said goodbye.

Real good variety of items, a lot of collector’s merchandise, which is great in a gun show, we all love that. I am just giving two stars, because the parking lot at 8 dollars is ridiculous, and when you add the crazy amount of 12 dollars ticket to get in, it just becomes annoying. You feel like going by yourself instead with the whole family. I personally think that the vendors inside are amazing, but the organizers money’s appetite, including the outrageous price of the parking, keeps a high percentage of the guns fans away from this nice event. They almost made me paid for my eleven years old daughter. Any good deal that you may find inside, you need to add the 20 dollars to get in there, so at the end, you make it better if you buy what you are looking for on line or at any other sport store out there. I f you go with your family or partner, you need to add that amount of money as well, it is your choice, do the numbers and you will see if is a good deal or not.

Probably the best show for vintage firearms and some military memorabilia. The emphasis is not on Black Rifles and assault weapons but rather on used and collectible firearms.
Plan on a couple of hours to go thru it. Unlike many shows, you cannot scan a table and say to yourself “Yup, more AR’s” and then move on. You have to look.
Give it a look see, you’ll enjoy it.

I was at the January gun show and all the tables were full, the only draw back I could see is it takes all day to get around that many tables

Went to the April 9 show because I had read that this was the best & biggest gun show in florida. What a disappointment. Lots of empty tables. Ridiculous prices on collectibles, and while you’re haggling price, other dealers come over and claim their 25% dealer discount on your deal.
Mostly just a big social event for the old club members, disorganized and sad.
