The Hamilton show has always been a small, fun, show. No big glamour stuff just a fun place to walk around, check things out, buy, sell and trade. Many small dealers of obscure stuff, lots of old guys selling, been that way for 30+ years. Not a big black gun market of the latest lazer/polymer/jumbo small magnum category, but enough for those who like em. Mostly collectable guns, and hunting stuff. Have bought and sold there for years. Nice family destination in a quiet little town setting.

My first show in Hamilton, got to say it was sort of alright, not bad, not good, just sort of. The biggest problem I saw was the total lack of advertising. Just a sign out front was way to little. Ran into people that told me they didn’t even know it was going on. A sign out on Fairgrounds road and Eastside hwy, also some more signs on the main street in Hamilton would go along way to getting the word out. Unless of course the promoters don’t like making money. More people-more admission fees, simple. An ad in the paper couldn’t hurt either. Let’s face it weapons aren’t cheap so let’s get the money people in the know.

Last show was fantastic! ? I didn’t have a table. I’m planning on having a table this next show the 17 18 19th. Feb. 2017. You know, I think maybe those guys that put the bad comments on are just trying to keep people away so they can have a better chance at stuff? Pretty smart guys!

I have always sold well at this show and have done it 25 years. My inventory is always new and not the same as the past show.I agree there is what appears the same stuff but that’s not really true,Those saying that do not look close enought,There are plenty of bargins for those who know what to look for.Very Nice facility. This is not the biggest nor the best in Montana but it is real good for the size. Those of you that pass I want to say thank you as that leaves more sales for me.

I too wonder about the Sports Connection “connection” I was planning on Hamilton, but unfortunately for me had a table at the last Missoula show. Expensive trip for nuttin’. Very few tables, even fewer visitors. And this is in Montana, not California. I’ll give this one a miss in favor of Denver or Spokane, and hope for better luck next time I am in the Treasure State – which is a great place, with something for everyone. Too bad about the S.C.
