Great Show, great prices. Had a great day.
Great gun Show I haven’t missed one at war memorial in over five years. Like others mentioned most of the venders are great people very helpful and more than happy to share lots of info about products and gear but there are always one or two that are just too damn cool to be bothered with the rest of us. Iv been into guns all my life (50) and it’s a fantastic Community of people who love America the 2A and the Constitution like myself and are extreamly friendly family loving hard working men and women so it’s nice to see all the same people every time one of these shows come up. Highly recommend going and learning about firearms and the great history behind them. Shooting is just a fantastic sport and hobby to be into I always say get your kids into guns they won’t be able to afford drugs. Lol ?
Albeit it being crowded, it is by far the best show in the area!! More selection, more vendors, and better parking! I’d say the majority of the vendors are nice and respectful, but like any type of “trade” show, you are gonna get a few that had a bad day and are full of attitude…I just thank them and move on! Many, many, many other vendors to deal with that have better attitudes!!
It’s 4:15 pm march 19th. I just walked out. The gentleman in front of me purchased a ticket at the window and lost it in his way to check in at the table with police to check the weapon he brought with him. He walked back to the window to ask for another ticket and the the woman instead of helping said and I quote ” I can’t believe you are that irresponsible “. I then tried to purchase a ticket with a debit card and I was told by the same woman cash only. I said you should have signs outside and on your website so people know that. She then said and I quote” go tell the people over there who care”. This is all after I walked through a wave of people with pants hanging low and hats sideways. What a joke. After I got in there is nothing but keyboard commandos and wanna be vendors selling junk. The only real part is “shoot straight” who are knowledgeable and wanna make deals. The rest of the show is worthless. Except for herky jerky who sells a damn good jerky.
Barely any vintage or antique guns. All Glocks, ARs, AKs, and lasers.
The place is like a sardine can. I have always found the best deals on the stage, away from the pushing and shoving. The Vendors up on the stage can and do take their time with you and don’t give you the “rush act”. Those vendors are usually smaller companies, unlike Shoot Straight with 3 full isles and dozens of tables and if you take your time, you can get a better deal up there. They finally stopped making you pay for parking- that was insulting to me. The Food Court really sucks. Anybody that thinks this place could be a target for terrorists is a Special Kind of Stupid ( All the vendors carry concealed weapons you idiot, along with uniform police, undercover police and at least half a dozen BATF agents that monitor the sales there).
It is the best show in Broward County.
This is one of the best shows I Fort Lauderdale. Don’t miss it. Lots of vendors, ammo and guns.
Definitely a good show to attend. Its one of the more popular ones I’ve been to. Always packed on both days. Depending on the vendor you can wheel and deal. Shoot Straight beat the price of 2 other vendors that had the Vickers Tactical G19. Also found a good deal on a used LCP with the crimson trace laser, and a techna clip. Never shot and looked brand new, but was $100 cheaper than buying the same gun new. Potential is there to get a great deal. This show generally has a big selection, and only one time out of the 7 times I’ve been I was not able to find what I was looking for. I took the concealed course here as well. It was in a back room and during July. It was hot! Now, I mentioned this show is packed. They fill the place to the brim with as many vendors as possible. Large shops take up multiple rows (shoot straight had 3 rows last time I went). The aisles are narrow, and you are always rubbing up on someone. There are a lot of sheeple that attend this show, so go into this expecting to find the worst kind of people and you wont be disappointed. Also take into consideration the location of the event to get an idea of who will be attending as well. Its not uncommon to see a mom with a stroller, or 1 person who decides to take their entire family, and grand kids with him to buy a knife…. We’re dealing with sheeple, remember? It will take you about an hour leisurely brows each table. If you decide to purchase be prepared to stand in line behind people who are waiting to fill out their background check. If you’re purchasing a more uncommon firearm you might not be able to work a deal. MAP’ed (minimum advertised price) priced guns like Glocks and Smiths can be talked down if another vendor has it for cheaper at the show, but don’t expect a huge break because most mfgs don’t offer a big profit margin. Especially in such a saturated market as firearms. If you do go, make sure you stop off at Herky Jerky. I think the original owner, Mort has retired, but its still hands down the best Jerky!
I’ve been going to this particular show for YEARS and always enjoy the experience.
This show is for me a waste of time. The promoters bounce back and forth on paid / not paid parking, raising / lowering door entry fees.
Add to that the aisles are so narrow that whenever a handicapped person in a wheelchair or mom with a stroller goes into an aisle it makes for a roadblock. I’ve been a resident of South Florida since the 70’s and have gone to this show most of the time sincethen, no more.
I’ve went to this show 5 times and deals are hard to find, but I like looking anyway. Some vendors are just outright trying to rip you off.
