How do you not take cards for the admission fee?! It’s 2024! It takes 10 minutes these days to set up a payment processor or use something like zelle or cash app or Venmo, etc. I refuse to go run and pull out cash, especially when I have my kids with me.
Nate, I am not associated with the Gun Show and while this does not include everyone (obviously you do not appear to be part of those included) but it does include a significant portion of the attendees, but I can give you two main reasons for this:
1) Because it would cost them more & they would need to pass the cost along to the buyer(s). Many restaurants bills are adding a fee for debit/credit card processing which is actually pushing many to revert back to cash to save money.
2) Then there’s is the tracking of attendance and purchases of 2A items that many people do not want and the reason so many people pay cash.
I hope you change your mind and stop at an ATM before going but if not, that’s ok. Less competition for me and what items I’m looking for!
You’re complaining about nothing. We’ve carried cash for centuries. CENTURIES.
If you don’t keep a hundred dollars cash on you for emergencies or cash-only events/businesses, that’s your problem no theirs.
I bet you’re the type of person who goes…”Wait, wait, let me find my Venmo…oh what about Zelle? Do you take Zelle? Ok. Ok. My connection is slow…”, while the person behind you is holding their cash waiting for you to get out of the way.
Great show in Cottonwood. I am first time attendee. There were so many items I wished to buy. The sellers were all friendly and helpful.
Well said.
I have been a vendor for several years with Dennis Champayne.
I have always had good experiences. Dennis has worked super hard during this covid pandemic to keep gun shows happening.
Dennis and his cohort Kerry are always affable and willing to help.
Plus, I am always impressed with the amount of advertising his company does for each show!! John D.
Great show, as usual. I’ve been doing Dennis’ shows for a long time. He treats his vendors well and is always accommodating. The staff is friendly and always go out of their way to help. Great security too! He goes the extra mile on advertising and brings in a good crowd.
