Many years ago I inherited a rifle from my dad’s gun collection when he passed away.
I say collection with tongue in cheek. My dad’s side of the family where pretty low key and didn’t have much of anything, guns where had for hunting. He had a shotgun and the rifle I have and maybe a couple of others by brothers inherited. I remember the shotgun because he had me shoot it one day when I was about 12 yrs old, without any instructions and it nearly took my shoulder off.
Anyway. So far I have identified the rifle as a Winchester Sparkbrook 1897. It has other markings as well. Is there anyone who could give me more information about it?
