The primary facility is the Airport Road Outdoor Shooting Range, located near Valdez Glacier Lake.

• Outdoor Range: Features a public-access shooting area with a sheltered firing line to protect shooters from the Alaskan elements.

• Target Distances: Accommodates various distances suitable for both handguns and rifles, typically featuring standard paper target frames and occasionally steel targets.

• Amenities: The site includes a pavilion/gazebo and picnic tables, making it a functional space for community gatherings and organized events.

Services and Programs

The club is highly focused on education and community safety:

• Valdez Junior Rifle Club: A standout non-profit program that educates youth in firearm safety, sportsmanship, and precision shooting. It utilizes the Winchester/NRA marksmanship program to help young shooters develop technical skills.

• Hunter Education: The facility often serves as a site for Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) hunter education clinics and marksmanship qualifications.

• Public Access: Unlike many private clubs, the main range is generally free and open to the public, though it operates on a seasonal schedule (typically 8 am – 10 pm daily during the warmer months).
