Facilities & Ranges

The club offers both rifle, pistol, and shotgun venues, which are primarily outdoors and feature covered shooting areas and concrete stalls.

• Rifle/Pistol Range: This area features lanes ranging from 25 to 100 yards and includes dedicated areas for .22 caliber rimfire rifles and center-fire rifles/pistols. Shooters can use both paper and steel targets.

• Shotgun Ranges: The club has five Trap Fields (with voice-activated throwing systems) and a 5-Stand range, catering to different clay target shooting styles.

• Other Facilities: The club provides free-to-use targets, staplers, shooting rests, and sandbags for public shooters.

Disciplines & Activities

SRGC supports a mix of informal practice and organized competitive shooting:

• Pistol/Rifle: Informal target practice is available for both pistols and rifles.

• Action Pistol: The club hosts competitions for dynamic disciplines like USPSA, IPSC, IDPA, ICORE, and Steel Challenge, which typically involve drawing from a holster and engaging multiple targets.

• Precision Rifle: They host NRL22 matches, which is a precision rimfire rifle competition shot at distances between 25 and 100 yards.

• Shotgun: Weekly league shooting and practice are available for Trap and 5-Stand.

Services & Membership

• Public Access: The club is open to the public on specific days and times, primarily on Tuesday and Saturday, with separate hours for the different range areas.

• Membership: SRGC is a member-run club. Membership requires applicants to be at least 18, a US citizen, and a member of the NRA or CRPA. Members receive benefits like reduced range fees and use of the facility during members-only hours in exchange for required work hours at the club. A separate, higher-cost Special Membership is available for those unable to commit to the work requirement.

• Safety & Rules: Range safety officers are on duty. Rules include having firearms cased and unloaded until on the firing line, and no holstered firearms or drawing from a holster on the public rifle/pistol range (unless cleared by the Range Master for CCW).

• No Rentals/Sales: The club does not rent or sell firearms or ammunition.
