All about Richmond Rod and Gun Club, Inc

Richmond Rod & Gun Club was founded in 1934 and has operated continuously since then -- almost 90 years as one of Richmond, California's most popular sporting venues for members. We are a full-service range that provides many opportunities for recreation and fun. Richmond Rod & Gun Club is a 501(c)7 corporation. Resources are available only to members or their guests, please consider joining. The Board of Directors meeting is held on the 1st Thursday of the month. If that Thursday is a holiday, then the meeting will be held on the 2nd Thursday. Members are encouraged to attend the meeting. To get on the agenda please email: [email protected].

Services & Facilities:

1. Outdoor Shooting Ranges:
   • Rifle Range: Offers 100-yard rifle shooting lanes.
   • Pistol Range: Dedicated pistol lanes.
   • Shotgun Range: Trap, skeet, and 5-stand clay shooting.
2. Archery Range: The club also features an archery range for members and guests interested in bow and arrow sports.
3. Fishing and Boating: Richmond Rod and Gun Club provides access to fishing activities along the San Francisco Bay shoreline, with members often organizing fishing events.
4. Firearms and Hunter Education:
   • Regular safety and training courses, including NRA-certified firearms classes, basic gun handling, and hunter safety education.
5. Firearms Rentals: Available for use on the ranges. Members and non-members can rent rifles, pistols, and shotguns.

Events and Competitions:

• The club regularly hosts shooting competitions, including:
  • IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) matches.
  • USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) events.
  • Rifle and Shotgun Competitions.
  • Archery Tournaments.

Membership:

• Individual Membership: $170 annually, which includes:
  • Unlimited access to all ranges.
  • Discounts on events, classes, and range fees.
  • Voting privileges and participation in club events.
• Family Membership: $200 annually, extending benefits to immediate family members.
• Non-Member Range Fees: Non-members can use the ranges for a day fee of approximately $20-$30 depending on the range and activity.

Clubhouse:

• The Richmond Rod and Gun Club has a clubhouse with a bar and social area for members to relax, socialize, and participate in club meetings or events.

The clubhouse is a multi-purpose meeting and banquet facility with kitchen where we hold interviews, meetings, dinners, and classroom events. Open to Regular Members and their guests only. Clubhouse and Fireside Lounge is available for rental to Regular Members.  Please contact [email protected] if interested. RRGC also has a bar with food service at the clubhouse to Regular Members only. It is open Wednesdays from 2-10 pm, Saturdays from noon-10pm, and Sunday's noon-8pm (except major holidays)
