All about Redmond Rod & Gun Club
Facilities and Ranges
The club is divided into several specialized areas to accommodate different firearms and shooting styles:
-
Archery Range: Features a practice area and a walk-through 3D course with various targets set at different elevations and distances.
-
Rifle & Pistol Ranges: Includes dedicated bays for handgun practice and long-range rifle shooting. These ranges offer fixed target stands at traditional distances (typically 25, 50, 100, and 200+ yards).
-
Shotgun Facilities: A major highlight of the club, featuring multiple fields for Trap, Skeet, and Five-Stand. They also have a popular Sporting Clays course that winds through the natural high-desert terrain.
-
Cowboy Action Town: A specialized "Old West" themed area used for SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) matches, featuring facades and reactive steel targets.
Services and Programs
-
Public Access: Unlike many private clubs, Redmond Rod & Gun Club is open to the public during specific hours, though members enjoy discounted rates and extended access.
-

-
Competitions: The facility is a hub for regional matches, including registered Trap shoots, IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) events, and Cowboy Action Shooting.
-
Amenities: A central clubhouse provides a space for meetings, registrations, and basic supplies. It often serves as the home base for youth shooting programs, such as local 4-H or high school clay target teams.
