Facility and Ranges

The club operates a specialized 50-foot indoor range. Due to the indoor nature and the historical sensitivity of the site, there are specific equipment constraints:

• Pistol: Centerfire pistols up to .45 caliber and .22 rimfire pistols are permitted.

• Rifle: Limited strictly to .22 Rimfire rifles (.22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle). Centerfire rifles are not permitted.

• Air Guns: Both air pistols and air rifles are allowed, provided the backstop is modified to prevent low-velocity bounces.

• Safety Features: The range is climate-controlled with specialized exhaust fans and is only active when a certified Range Officer (RO) is present.

Services and Programs

NRPC is highly active in the community, offering several structured programs:

• Training: The club provides Oregon CHL (Concealed Handgun License) classes and NRA-certified Basic Pistol courses.

• Youth & Education: There is a strong emphasis on junior marksmanship. The club hosts 4-H programs and ODFW-approved Hunter Education field days.

• Leagues: Members can participate in competitive Rifle and Pistol leagues.

• Museum Partnership: The club works in tandem with the Gibbs Community Club to maintain the adjacent 1886 one-room schoolhouse, which serves as a local museum.
