About Modesto Rifle Club
Modesto Rifle Club is a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California. MRC operates in compliance with its Articles of Incorporation, the California Corporations Code, the California Revenue and Taxation Code, the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(4), and the Bylaws.
MRC’s purpose is set forth in its Articles of Incorporation executed by the First Directors on December 23, 1946 and subsequently filed with the California Secretary of State.
“The encouragement of organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States, resident in this community, with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as the encouragement of improved marksmanship. Also the forwarding and development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, and self reliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.”
The Modesto Rifle Club is a private club requiring membership. Non members may attend matches and events.
Membership
The Wait List for MRC membership will be open from March 1, 2024 through March 31, 2024.
All applicants for the Wait List must be sponsored by a current MRC member in good standing.
Application forms and submittal instructions have been furnished to all MRC members.
