Facilities and Ranges

The club operates distinct seasonal facilities to ensure year-round shooting opportunities:

• Outdoor Range (Summer): Located on Arc Loop Road (off Mile 99 of the Sterling Highway). This extensive facility features:

  • 3D Courses: Two separate courses (North and South) typically featuring about 30 lifelike 3D animal targets.

  • Target Range: A dedicated area with bag targets at distances ranging from 10 to 60 yards.

  • Amenities: A covered pavilion for weather protection and a locked gate providing 24/7 access to members.

• Indoor Range (Winter): During the colder months, the club moves operations to an indoor facility (currently located on Parkway Avenue in Soldotna) to host leagues and practice sessions in a heated environment.

Services and Programs

• Archery Leagues: KPA hosts competitive and recreational leagues for youth and adults, often following NFAA (National Field Archery Association) formats.

• Special Events: The club is known for its annual themed shoots, such as the Independence Day 3D Shoot and various "Cosmic" or "Glow" shoots.

• Youth Involvement: KPA partners with local groups like 4-H and the "Teens on Target" program to provide coaching, safety instruction, and equipment access for younger archers.

• Competitions: The facility frequently serves as a host site for regional events, including the Northwest Indoor Sectionals.
