The Central Arkansas Shooters Association (CASA) is a private shooting club located at 43210 Higginbotham Rd, Perryville, Arkansas. Established in 1990, CASA was founded by a group of dedicated shooters with the aim of creating a premier facility for competitive handgun shooting.
Facilities and Amenities
CASA boasts several amenities to support its members and guests:
- Fourteen pistol ranges with nine 12' x 12' sheds to protect from sun and rain
- Clubhouse with separate restrooms for men and women, air conditioning, heating, running water, refrigerator, and microwave
- A 40' x 60' pavilion for meetings or relaxing
- Rifle range with 100 and 200-yard distances
Activities and Competitions
CASA offers a variety of shooting sports and regularly hosts competitions, which are open to both members and non-members:
- IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association): Matches are typically held on the third Saturday of each month. These matches emphasize defensive shooting scenarios and techniques.
- USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association): Matches are usually on the first Sunday of each month. These matches focus on practical shooting skills and include various stages and scenarios.
- Steel Challenge: Matches are held on the second Saturday of each month, focusing on speed shooting with steel targets.
Membership and Access
While CASA is a private club, it is open to the public on designated pistol match days for competitive shooting only. General shooting access is restricted to members and their guests. Membership provides access to all facilities and operates on an honor system, where members receive a key to the club's facilities
