Range Facilities

The facility is divided into specialized zones to accommodate a wide variety of disciplines:

• Shotgun Sports: Features 5 trap fields, 4 skeet fields, 3 five-stand layouts, an international bunker trap, and a walk-through sporting clays course. Several fields are equipped with night lighting for year-round evening use.

• Rifle & Pistol: Includes eight ranges with distances from 7 yards to 300 meters. Many of these ranges feature covered benches, heaters, and lighting.

• Archery: A dedicated area offering both static targets and a 3D archery walk-through course set in a wooded environment.

• Tactical Area: Action pistol bays designed for USPSA and IDPA-style training, including steel targets and urban scenario courses.

Services & Programs

Birchwood provides more than just lane rentals; it operates as a full-service training and competition hub:

• Instruction: Offers "Skills Lab" training series, hunter education, and youth-focused safety clinics.

• Leagues & Events: Hosts year-round competitions for USPSA, 3-Gun, Steel Challenge, and NSCA. It is a frequent host for the Alaska State Sporting Clays Championship.

• Equipment: The pro shop provides targets and ammunition. While they do not typically rent handguns or rifles, shotgun rentals are available for clay sports.
