Hickory has a decent show. I would say the best in our area. None of them compare to the old Charlotte show at the fairgrounds on Statesville Rd. Then the moved it to the Park complex beside the Coliseum on Independence Blvd. The Park was owned by a church and they quit having gun shows there. That left Charlotte with no gun shows. The good news is the Park are now under new ownership. If I put on Gun shows I would check with the new ownership of the Park and bring gun shows back to Charlotte.
Prices are beyond ridiculous. From the 12 dollar entry fee to the 200% markup on virtually everything. Vendors are looking for completely uninformed buyers. This was the last time I’ll waste my time
I haven’t really been to a good gun show since Biden/COVID-19 days.
IT IS MO LONGER WORTH IT. Takes me approx 1hr to get there. My grand kids and some of their friends and I (before before they started really working) we would load up 1 or 2 minivans and go we had a ball.
I taught them to do this
Go to show about mid day
Pay attention to what people r being put.
Don’t be afraid to ask those leaving about their thoughts of the show.
IT NEVER FAILED.
I SEE FEWER AND FEWER guns being carried out AND NOW that holds true for ammo also.
GUN SHOWS R NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE TOO TOO MUCH PRICE GOUGING.
Watch the crowds if u see few rifles leaving don’t go in PERIOD.
Just attended my first Hickory C&E gun show. Drove 2 hours to get there. Bought a really nice hummingbird feeder. As far as the quality and quantity of firearms available the show was a real disappointment. I won’t bother to go again. Too much flea market stuff.
The gun shows in the Hickory area are local, to me. Surrounding cities with different dates are not a far drive. It’s much more than buying or selling. All the vendors are well informed and willing to update you on what’s trending, the best firearm to suit your individual need, the latest weaponry offer to military versus civilian. I gain a wealth of knowledge. Always something new to learn and a fun day out.
$12.00 is to much, put it back to $10.00 entry
Every gun show is different I lived in Palm Beach FL. for 20yrs went to all the gun shows and they were different but it was for an area that supported a larger show, frankly, I think we are lucky to have the show we have I really appreciate the C&E they put on a good show. there are some vendors on some special weekends that want come soo if you don’t like it try it on another date you might find what your looking for as far as Hickory NC I wish they would come more often but I figure that politics play a roll in it. You can’t fix stupid
We attend the Hickory Gun show and it’s well worth the trip and the entry fee. Lots of vendors and prices aren’t that bad either . Will be attending all events for 2022!
Been going for 20 years. This has always been a great gun show. Ive been to several that were bigger but for variety hickory is always a good place to go. Aside from the usual booths there are usually nfa vendors, great miltaria collectiables, and antinque guns around. Where else can you buy pinfire revolvers and a 50 cal or 6.5 marksmanship rifles at the same show?
I’ve been going for years. All I can say is, if you cant find it, you were not looking !
Hey! I like it. It’s my belief is if you can find one better go to it don’t complain about your decision.
This gun show is one of the best in this region. The vendors are all good folks. Besides guns, you can expect to see a variety of knives, along with other survival gear. If you are serious about what’s going on America, then you will want to attend this show to see what’s missing from your preparedness kit.
I’ve been to all the Hickory Shows for the last 2 years .. I’m a recently moved from Connecticut .. you folks who think the Hickory isn’t worth going to should take it from me .. IT’S GREAT ! Yes, I’ve been to Charlotte and it’s bigger but what is available for the buying public here in this state whether the show is big or small should be appreciated. I’ll continue to support the promoters by going .. till I’m too old to walk.
I have enjoyed the gun shows in Hickory thanks
The Hickory gun show is not worth it . Even if you manage to print of the dollar coupon, it’s still not worth paying eight dollars to go.
Totally disagree with this comment. We attend all the shows and there are tons of items at great prices.
