Nov. 23rd show cancelled-
It would of been nice if you had an email list where you could of sent an email out to us when you decided to cancel the show this weekend.
Drove for an hour and a half to find.
We had a great experience attending “The Original Grand Rapids Gun & Knife Show” at the 4 Mile Showplace in Grand Rapids (hosted by Sport Shows Promotions per the website info). This was our first visit to the G.R. show and we were very impressed. It was a larger sized venue than we’ve been to in the past, the table spacing allowed for people on both sides of a walkway to keep their social distancing (helpful for the new Covid-2020 world we are in now). Masks were required, it was very well structured, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and even helped me locate a specific seller’s booth that I was trying to find. Of note, we chose to attend in the afternoon as there was such a demand in the morning that the entrance line wrapped around the building (likely due to space & occupancy limitations under the Michigan Governor’s orders for late 2020 through early 2021, your experience may be different later). If you choose to bring your children or young adults, make sure they are responsible and follow instructions (ours had a great time, behaved well, and were fully briefed on their roles and responsibilities). If you suspect that they might disobey, I’d suggest getting a baby sitter for them. The booths hosted a variety of firearm retailers with a lot of variety from new-in-box to well loved classics in just about every price point. We had a great time and look forward to attending again in the near future and it was worth the 45 minute drive to attend (our local shows are canceled and / or postponed due to Covid attendance limits on the local venues). I posted a lot of site-specific details and the location in this review as I don’t know if this review is going to show up for the website representing a lot of shows nationwide, or if it’s only for this particular gun show at this location. I’ll find out in a moment. God bless and thanks from our family for supporting responsible 2nd amendment ownership and training.
You and I must have attended different shows.
Got a good deal on a Ruger miny thirty.
Yeah, I bring my little brother all the time and he is 12.
