All about Pima Pistol Club
Facility and Ranges:
-
Outdoor Complex: The club is an outdoor facility spread over 15 acres, featuring 15 different range bays for various uses and distances.
-
Public Ranges: The facility is open to both members and the general public on a daily fee basis. The public typically has access to two main ranges:
-
Range 1 (Pistol Range): Restricted to pistol shooting at distances from 10 to 15 yards. Drawing from a holster is prohibited here.
-
Range 2 (Rifle Range): A public rifle range suited for longer distances, with a maximum of 100 yards. Rapid fire is generally not permitted on this range.
-
-
Member Ranges: Members have access to numerous multi-purpose bays, including dynamic pistol ranges (like the 25-yard "Marshal" and "Bronco" ranges) and a dedicated 200-yard long-distance range for sighting in or precision shooting, which is the longest range at the PPC. Member ranges typically allow for dynamic shooting, holster use, and the use of steel targets.
-
General Amenities: The range is open year-round, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It operates as a "cold range," meaning all firearms must be unloaded and cased before check-in. The club sells a limited selection of targets and hearing protection, but does not rent firearms or sell ammunition.
