All about Pikes Peak Gun Club
Facilities and Ranges:
The club is known for its extensive outdoor ranges, including:
- Shotgun Sports: This is a major focus of the club, with world-class facilities for disciplines like Trap (14 fields), Skeet (4 fields), Sporting Clays (two courses with 24 stations), and an International Bunker Trap field.
- Rifle and Pistol Ranges: The club has dedicated ranges for these firearms. Rifle ranges include a 100-yard and a 200-yard range. Pistol ranges have target placements at various distances up to 25 yards. The club also has special-use ranges for specific events and competitions.
- Archery Range: In addition to firearms, the club offers a dedicated archery range.
The club features a clubhouse with a fully functional kitchen and meeting areas.
Services and Membership:
- Membership: The PPGC is a membership-based organization, but it also allows public access to its shotgun ranges. Non-members can use the rifle and pistol ranges only when a Range Safety Officer (RSO) is on duty, and it's recommended to call ahead to confirm availability. Members get special pricing and access to additional facilities.
- Events and Training: The club hosts numerous events and competitions, including state and regional championships for shotgun, rifle, and pistol disciplines. They also provide instructor-led courses and have a volunteer RSO program to ensure a safe environment.
- Amenities: The facility also provides rentals for equipment, and ammunition is available for purchase.
