Facilities and Ranges:
The club features an extensive array of ranges to support various shooting disciplines and distances:
- High Power Rifle: Ranges extending up to 600 yards, along with 200 and 300-yard lines.
- Bench Rest: Dedicated shooting at 25, 50, 100, and 180 yards.
- Smallbore/Airgun: Ranges for precision shooting at 25 and 50 yards/meters, and 100 yards/meters.
- Indoor Pistol: A heated indoor range with stations at 25 yards and 50 feet.
- Outdoor Pistol: Conventional ranges at 25 and 50 yards, plus five individual walled shooting bays for practical and action shooting.
Services and Disciplines:
The club hosts both formal competitions and informal practice/plinking for a wide range of shooting sports:
- Disciplines: Supported matches include NRA High Power Rifle, Benchrest, Cowboy Action Shooting (SASS), Lever Action, Smallbore, Air Gun Challenge, Bullseye Pistol, Military Bolt Gun, and Silhouette matches.
- Competitions: Formal competitions are held throughout the year and are typically open to the public (non-members).
- Training: The club offers free basic safety and marksmanship training (e.g., Basic Pistol, AR-15) for members and their families, though these courses are not NRA-certified for concealed carry permits.
- Membership: Membership in the Milan Rifle Club requires concurrent membership in the National Rifle Association (NRA). New members must attend a required orientation session. Membership is required for general facility use, but not to participate in formal competitions.
