All about Miami Rifle & Pistol Club
Facilities and Ranges:
The club is situated on over 130 acres and offers a wide variety of ranges for different shooting disciplines:
- Rifle Ranges:
- High Power Rifle Range: This range is a key feature, with twelve covered firing points at distances of 200, 300, 500, and 600 yards. Practice at the 500- and 600-yard lines requires special member certification.
- Smallbore/Rimfire Range: Features 25 firing points with target frames at 50 and 100 yards.
- Bench Rest Range: A separate range with covered firing points and concrete benches for stable shooting at 50, 100, 150, and 200 yards.
- Pistol Ranges:
- Bullseye Pistol Range: Has 30 covered firing points with electrically operated turning target frames at 25 and 50 yards. It can also be used for smallbore rimfire rifle and black powder shooting.
- Practical Pistol: Up to eight bays across three ranges are available for USPSA-style competitions.
- Bowling Pin Range: A dedicated range for bowling pin competitions.
- Other: A multi-purpose covered range with three bays for a variety of firearms.
The club also has a clubhouse for training classes and social use, along with an open-air pavilion with picnic tables.
Services and Membership:
Miami Rifle & Pistol Club is a members-only club, with the exception of public matches. All members must be part of the NRA. The club is well-known for hosting sanctioned matches by organizations like the NRA and Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).
The club offers various services to its members, including:
- Training and Education: Classes for members, including a mandatory long-range certification course for those wishing to shoot at 500 and 600 yards.
