Facility:
- Location: The club has locations in both Albury, NSW, and Craigieburn, VIC, Australia. The Albury complex is described as an 8-range facility.
- Expansion: It began as a four-range facility and has expanded significantly over the years.
- Amenities: Clubrooms, a scoring shed, a generator for power, rainwater tanks, kitchen facilities, toilets, and car parking are typically available at such clubs.
Ranges:
The Hume Pistol Club offers a variety of ranges to support different shooting disciplines:
- Outdoor Ranges: There are seven outdoor ranges. These ranges generally have a solid soil grassed base and can be used year-round. Strict safety protocols, including projectile termination within bullet traps and mounds, are enforced.
- 200-meter Outdoor Metallic Silhouette Range: Designed for metallic silhouette shooting at specified distances.
- 25-meter Outdoor Action Match Falling Plate Range: Used for action match with falling plates at various distances (10, 15, 20, and 25 yards).
- 25-meter Outdoor ISSF Ranges (multiple): Dedicated for International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) events, where targets are placed at 25 meters, and shots are taken from defined firing lines.
- 50-meter Outdoor Multi-Purpose Range: Versatile range that can be used for IPSC, action match sections (35-yard Barricade and 50-yard Practical), and ISSF 50-meter events.
- Indoor Range: An indoor Air Pistol Range is also available.
Disciplines Offered:
The club supports a broad range of pistol shooting disciplines, including:
- ISSF (International Shooting Sport Federation) events:
- 10m Air Pistol: An Olympic and Paralympic event for men and women. Shots are taken at a 10m distance using .177" (4.5mm) air pistols.
- 50m Pistol (formerly Free Pistol): An Olympic and Paralympic event for men, also shot by women in Australia. It uses .22 caliber single-shot pistols at 50 meters. This event has minimal restrictions on the pistol design, focusing purely on precision.
- 25m Pistol Women and Men's Sport Pistol: Combines precision and rapid-fire stages. Shot at 25 meters with .22 long rifle rimfire pistols.

Services and Membership:
- "Come and Try" Sessions (P650 Course): For those interested in trying pistol shooting or considering club membership, the Hume Pistol Club offers "Come and Try" sessions (known as a P650 course in NSW) on the first Saturday of every month. These sessions are supervised and provide:
- Use of a club .22 rimfire pistol.
- 50 rounds of ammunition.
- Tuition from club-approved instructors covering holding, loading, sighting, and firing, along with safety aspects.
- The possibility to try larger caliber centerfire pistols by arrangement with club members, if time and availability permit.
- Bookings are essential due to limited participant numbers.
- Getting Started: The club aims to help new individuals get started in pistol shooting in a safe and friendly environment.
- Membership: The Hume Pistol Club is approved for both NSW and Victorian residents to obtain their pistol license. Membership provides access to the club's facilities and participation in various events and competitions.
- Community: The club fosters a strong and supportive community, regularly hosting competitions for all skill levels and welcoming new members with expert guidance.
- Safety: A strong emphasis is placed on safety and sportsmanship. Range officers supervise individual ranges to ensure adherence to safety rules, including wearing eye and ear protection (optional for air pistol), closed footwear, and obeying all instructions. Firearms must be handled responsibly and stored appropriately when not on the firing line or in designated safe handling areas.
