Facilities and Ranges:
The club's facilities are centered around shotgun sports, featuring:
- Trap Fields: It boasts eight trap fields, equipped with modern, state-of-the-art automatic trap machines and voice release systems.
- Skeet Fields: There are two modern skeet fields.
- 5 Stand: A dedicated 5 Stand trap course is available.
- Clubhouse: The club maintains a modern clubhouse facility.
- Lighting: All shooting fields are fully lighted, allowing for evening shooting.
Disciplines and Events:
The HOWSC excels in shotgun disciplines and hosts various events:
- Trap and Skeet: These are the core competitive and recreational shooting sports offered.
- 5 Stand: This offers a more varied and challenging clay target experience than standard trap or skeet.
- Leagues: The club hosts both Summer and Fall Trap and 5 Stand Leagues.
- Competitions: It hosts registered competitive shoots, including Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) events and Zone Shoots, attracting some of the best shooters in the state.
- Junior League: The club supports youth shooting with a dedicated Junior League.

The club is open to both members and non-members, though membership offers reduced target fees.
- Membership: The club offers affordable single, family, and life memberships, which are due annually on January 1st.
- Target Fees: Members pay a reduced rate per round of 25 targets for trap and skeet, and a slightly higher but still discounted rate for 5 Stand, compared to non-members. Juniors also receive a significantly reduced target fee.
- Community Focus: The club emphasizes education in safe firearm handling and welcomes new members and visitors. It also holds regular club meetings for its membership.
