All about Firing Line Gun Club 1986 Inc
Facilities and Gun Ranges:
- Indoor Range: The club boasts a world-class indoor shooting range with 15 independent shooting positions.
- Target Systems: The target hangers are motorized and individually controlled, allowing them to be positioned from 10 to 25 yards.
- Ammunition: All types of ammunition are generally permitted, including lead, jacketed, and hollow points, with the exception of steel core ammunition.
- Firearms: Handguns of all calibers (up to .45LC) are allowed, provided they are properly registered. For rifles, only .22LR rifles and rifles chambered in a pistol caliber with target loads are generally permitted, with some exceptions.
- Air Filtration: Some Firing Line locations, such as the one in Metro Detroit, feature state-of-the-art air filtration systems to clean the air and remove gunpowder residue.
- Amenities: Depending on the specific Firing Line location, additional facilities might include:
- A gun shop for firearms, accessories, and ammunition.
- Firearm rental options.
- Classrooms for training courses (e.g., beginner firearm courses, concealed carry permit classes).
- Cleaning services, sight mounting, and custom gun fitting.
- Lounge areas and potentially a "dry fire station" for practicing firearm handling without live ammunition.
Membership:
- Firing Line Gun Club (1986) Inc. accepts new members.
- Orientation Course: New members are typically required to complete a safety orientation course before being granted access to the facilities. This course covers the necessary information for safe range use.
- Access: Access to the range is often granted via an electronic security card issued after membership payment and safety course completion.
- Membership Tiers: Membership options can vary but often include individual, family, and sometimes senior or law enforcement/military rates.
- Requirements: Members usually need to possess a valid firearms license (like a PAL in Canada, depending on location) to use the facilities. They are expected to adhere strictly to all club and range rules, which emphasize safety, proper firearm handling, and range etiquette.
