All about Fennville Rod&Gun Club
Facilities and Ranges:
The club's extensive facility covers twenty acres and is well-equipped for multiple shooting disciplines:
- Rifle/Pistol Range: This is a covered range with berms at 25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 meters.
- Trap Ranges: There are three lighted trap fields available for clay target shooting.
- Skeet Fields: The club features two skeet fields, one of which is lighted.
- Clubhouse: A full-service, air-conditioned clubhouse is available, which provides seating and a cozy wood stove for comfort during winter months.
Services and Activities:
The FRGC supports both regular practice and competitive shooting:
- Scheduled Shoots: Trap and skeet shooting are regularly scheduled on certain weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons, and are open to the public.
- Special Events: The club hosts special competitions such as "Egg Shoots" on the rifle range, which are typically open to the public.
- Education and Training: The club hosts basic Concealed Pistol License (CPL) classes, run by external instructors, and likely supports general firearms safety education.
- Membership: The club is member-driven. New members must be sponsored by an existing member, apply in person, and complete a safety orientation. Membership dues vary for Standard, Senior, and Youth categories.
- General Meetings: Monthly member's meetings are held at the clubhouse, and active participation from members is encouraged in the club's operation.
