Facilities and Ranges:
The club is dedicated to shotgun sports and features extensive outdoor ranges, including:
- Trap Fields: Eight total fields, with five being lighted combination trap/skeet fields and three being trap-only.
- Skeet Fields: Five combination fields.
- Sporting Clays: A 14-station sporting clays course.
- 5-Stand: A dynamic 5-Stand (FITS) setup.
- General Facilities: A clubhouse with a full kitchen (serving breakfast/snacks during shooting hours), an air-conditioned lounge, an outdoor patio, a pavilion, and a dog training area. The facility is ADA accessible.
Services and Membership:
DGSC is a membership-based club that also welcomes the public for many of its events and open shooting hours.
- Membership: The club has two primary tiers:
- Shooting Membership: Allows use of the trap, skeet, 5-Stand, and sporting clays facilities. Requires NRA membership and an application process.
- Senior Membership: Offers full use of all facilities, including hunting and fishing on the property, voting rights on club business, and has a more extensive application process that requires a sponsor, a probationary period of one year, and logging service hours.
- Events and Programs: The club maintains a busy schedule, hosting:
- ATA and NSSA-registered tournaments and local leagues.
- Youth shooting programs.
- Special community and business events.
- Instruction from certified instructors (available by appointment) covering safety and fundamentals.
The club promotes the safe use of firearms and related outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and dog training, maintaining a friendly and safe environment for shooters of all skill levels.
