Facility and Ranges:
COBPC benefits from being part of the larger Belmont Shooting Complex, which offers world-class facilities. Specifically for pistol shooting, the club has access to:
- 200m Pistol Metallic Silhouette Range: This range is suitable for various competitions, including metallic silhouette, and regularly hosts state and national championships. It's also used for disciplines like cowboy lever action competitions.
- 50m Pistol Range: Equipped with both static and turning targets, this range caters to a variety of pistol shooting disciplines. Minimum paper target distance for practice on this range is 20m.
- Indoor Air Pistol Range: This purpose-built range was constructed for the 2000 Olympic Games, indicating its high standard.
- Dedicated IPSC Range: The club boasts Australia's only 180-degree range, specifically designed for International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) matches and training. This range features professional lighting and allows for dynamic movement, obstacles, and varied target placements, enabling complex stage designs.
The Belmont Shooting Complex as a whole also includes rifle and shotgun ranges, although the COBPC focuses specifically on pistol disciplines.
