All about Buffalo Creek Gun Club Inc

Facilities & Ranges:

The club features two distinct range areas:

• "Jim Starr" Long Range: This area has 15 shooting lanes with targets at 200, 300, and 600 yards. This range is suitable for precision rifle shooting and other long-range disciplines.
• "Short Range": This complex has 21 lanes, including nine at 100 yards, four at 50 yards, and a separate pistol bay with nine lanes for shorter-distance shooting.

Services & Membership:

The club operates as a members-only facility, but also offers public access on weekends for a day-use fee. This public access allows non-members to use the ranges for informal target practice or to sight in hunting rifles. Day passes are also available at a discounted rate for military personnel and first responders.

The club hosts numerous matches and competitions in various shooting disciplines, including:

• IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association)
• High Power
• Precision Rifle League
• Steel Challenge
• 22 Rimfire Benchrest

The club's focus on safety is evident in its strict rules regarding ammunition types, and all shooters must follow a clear set of safety protocols. Access to the range can be challenging, especially in poor weather, and may require a high-clearance vehicle due to its location in a remote, high-altitude area.
