Facilities and Ranges

Buffalo Creek Gun Club features a variety of ranges designed to cater to different shooting activities:

• Short Range: This range includes 13 pistol lanes with dedicated berms at 25, 50, and 100 yards. It's ideal for handgun practice and short-range rifle shooting.
• Long Range: Known as the Jim Starr Long Range, it offers 15 dedicated lanes with shooting positions at 200, 300, and 600 yards. This range is perfect for long-range rifle shooting and precision marksmanship.
• Elevation: The range is located at an elevation of 8,100 feet, providing a unique shooting experience in a beautiful natural setting.

Programs and Services

• Remote Location: The range is located in a remote area with limited cellular service. Emergency services can take up to 40 minutes to arrive, so shooters are advised to be prepared and cautious.
• Road Conditions: Access roads are USFS fire access roads, which can be challenging to navigate, especially in winter. A higher clearance vehicle may be required during certain seasons.
