All about A&A Shooting and Hunting Club

Facilities and Ranges:

The club features multiple outdoor ranges catering to different firearms and shooting distances:

  • Rifle/Pistol Bays: These are the primary ranges for handgun and rifle shooting.
    • The longest range is 200 yards, which is specifically for Rifle and Shotgun use only.
    • Shorter combination ranges are available at 100 yards and 50 yards, which can accommodate both rifle and pistol shooting.
    • There is also a dedicated 30-yard Pistol-Only range.
  • Clay Target Fields: The club has facilities for various shotgun clay target disciplines:
    • Trap shooting.
    • Skeet shooting.
    • Five Stand.

Shooters are generally permitted to use paper or steel targets, provided they bring their own steel targets and frames angled to direct fragments downward. Rapid fire or five-round bursts are generally not permitted.

Services:

A&A Shooting and Hunting Club operates as a public range, accepting walk-ins for its ranges and clay fields, though reservations for the rifle and pistol ranges are highly recommended on weekends to avoid waiting.

  • Public Access: The outdoor rifle and pistol bays are open several days a week, and the trap, skeet, and five stand fields are open on select days, with the last shooter required to be on the field by a specific time.
  • Range Use: A fee is charged per person per hour for use of the rifle and pistol ranges. A separate, lower fee is charged per round for the clay target fields.
  • Clay Target Shooting: Shooters must bring their own shotguns and ammunition for the trap, skeet, and five stand fields. The club provides a puller for trap and five stand, but those shooting skeet are advised to bring a partner to operate the clay thrower.
  • Range Officers: An officer is typically present to ensure all safety rules are followed, maintaining a safe environment for all shooters. The club emphasizes that it is committed to providing a fun but safe experience.
